1. A few words about Phuoc Lam Pagoda and the volunteer journey with SantaPocket
Amidst the hustle and bustle of life, there are still peaceful places for people to find tranquility, nurture love and compassion. Phuoc Lam Pagoda is a place that shelters, guides and accompanies many Buddhists and people on their journey to live a good life.
In particular, all volunteer and donation activities here are completely free, without collecting any fees from the public. SantaPocket accompanies philanthropists, handing over valuable donations to Buddhists studying at Phuoc Lam Pagoda.

2. List of items requiring support
In order to ensure basic living conditions for hundreds of practitioners studying every day, we would like to call for support of the following essential items:
– Kitchen: Salt, Sugar, Soy sauce, Spices, Rice, Dishwashing liquid, Food, Trays, Spoons, Chopsticks, Cups
– Bathing and laundry: Bath soap or shower gel, Laundry detergent, Fabric softener (if available), Face towel, Toilet brush, Bucket, Basin
– Construction: Fans, Lights, Locks
– Warehouse providing supplies for people coming to study at the monastery: Blankets, Pillows, Single mosquito nets (for 1 person), Single mats (for 1 person), Clothes hangers, etc.
3. How to donate:
Option 1: You already have the item and want to donate it at the donation box.
Step 1: Download the SantaPocket app
Step 2: Go to the nearest locker and deposit your items by following these steps:
- Select "Send Package" and scan the QR code on the locker.
- Enter the recipient's information as the volunteer Phuong Thuy's phone number 0905 690301, select the cabinet size, and click Send.
- Open the drawer, place the item inside, and close the drawer.
Option 2: You don't have the item but want to contribute by making a purchase through SantaMarket and sending it to the charity.
- Open the SantaPocket app, select the Market feature.
- Select items from the donation list and add them to your cart.
- Choose your address at booth 161 Truong Van Bang and volunteer Phuong Thuy's phone number 0905 690301.
- Payment and order completion
Your donated items will be sent to a Collection Center.
In the doctrine of Impermanence (Anicca) and Non-self (Anatta), The Buddha taught that all things and phenomena change and are not our permanent possession. Therefore, sharing what we have does not make us lose it, but gives it the opportunity to continue to bring benefits somewhere else, to someone else. When we let go of our attachments and open ourselves to giving, we not only help the recipient to reduce difficulties, but also help ourselves to cultivate peace of mind, break our attachment to material things.
