1. About the program

“A Thousand Steps – A Million Love” is a campaign organized by the Red Cross Society of District 1, in collaboration with Santa Corporation, to mobilize contributions from the community, businesses, and government to eliminate makeshift and unsafe housing in District 1 by 2025.

Through this initiative, SantaPocket aims not only to promote a healthy lifestyle but also to connect the community through meaningful charitable activities. By participating, individuals can directly support struggling families in the simplest yet most impactful way—through running.

This campaign is also part of the 50th Anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City, launched by the central and District 1 authorities. It embodies the spirit of solidarity, mutual support, and social responsibility. The program seeks to improve living conditions for low-income and near-poor households, ensuring that every family has a stable home and contributing to sustainable poverty reduction efforts.

2. How to participate

a. Donation by Running

Participants can join the program by running on the Vrace app. Every 1 km run will be converted into a 1,000 VND donation to the housing fund, helping to provide a safe and stable home for poor and near-poor families.

Steps to Join:

• Step 1: Scan the QR code to download the Vrace app.

• Step 2: Log-in and select the “Triệu bước chân nhân ái“ challenge under the Tournaments section.
• Step 3: Click “REGISTER NOW“.
• Step 4: Fill in the required registration details and click “Continue” to complete the registration process.

 Note: Participants can join a team after successfully registering for the race.

 Donation period for this method: Until April 28, 2025.
